Shakespeare in South Africa

In the SOUTH AFRICAN context, in the 21st CENTURY i think that SHAKESPEARE should not be a compulsory setbook for grades 10, 11 and 12.

The English is just TOO old, TOO different for today’s learner. The effort, the TIME expanded … is just NOT worth it.

Shakespeare MUST be replaced with quality contemporary literature.
